ClientMount Stuart Trust

StatusOngoing. Masterplan Phase 3 completed 2016

Working with Architects Page\Park on the renewal and re-purposing of farm estate buildings on the Mount Stuart Estate, Isle of Bute. The Mount Stuart Trust is committed to the conservation, preservation and maintenance of Mount Stuart, including other parts of the Isle of Bute that make up the Bute Estate. A Masterplan gives a phased, strategic approach to the re-use of redundant buildings and sites within the Estate.

A light-touch approach to the landscape informed each design and developed strong ties with the rural landscape. Field patterns, historic features, local process of working gave influence and shared the Bute Estate's aim to preserve the local heritage and character of each site creating attractive, contemporary and accessible homes for island residents and holiday visitors.
