Planning consent received for Elgin’s new neighbourhood at Findrassie

Working with Savills, Raeburn Farquhar Bowen have designed a strong landscape masterplan, drawing inspiration from existing landscape features. There are a number of distinct character areas within the proposed development to give new residents a sense of individuality.

Findrassie will provide 1,500 new homes (500 in the first phase) and include a high proportion of quality open space, focussed on links to the surrounding landscape and adjacent neighbourhoods. Active travel routes are incorporated into the development, connecting to Elgin and Lossiemouth.

At-source water management is a key principle in the design, with swales, ponds and wetlands providing a range of diverse habitat and visual variety.
